Marvin Cohenn (Miller Professor 1969-1970, 1976-1977, Fall 1988) has been awarded the 2014 Von Hippel Award which is Materials Research Society's Highest Honor. Cohen is being recognized for "explaining and predicting properties of materials and for successfully predicting new materials using microscopic quantum theory." Read More



Randy Schekman (Miller Senior Fellow 2008-2013)
has been named to the prestigious Institute of Medicine, one of the highest national honors in the fields of health and medicine. The honor was announced Oct. 20, just a little over a year since Schekman won the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Read More
